An internal (non-public)  ESOC Navigation Support Office GNSS station.

Location

The antenna is situated on the roof of a building on an industrial terrain, approximately 5 km from the city of Reykjavik, Iceland

The site is managed by Neydarlinan ohf, operators of the 112 National Emergency Number, the National Tetra Telecommunication Service and the Icelandic Maritime service.

A joint collaboration between Neydarlinan ohf and ESA/ESOC was established in April 2019.

Equipment

The station operates a Septentrio PolaRx4 receiver and Septentrio Chokering MC antenna, providing multi-GNSS tracking from this location: GPS, Glonass, Galileo, Beidou and QZSS.

The station also operates an external Rubidium signal generator (clock) to which the receiver connects for more stable operations.
