experts in precise navigation and orbit determination

The Navigation Support Office is ESA's centre of expertise in the precise use of navigation satellite systems.  We contribute to ESA missions, third-party activities, and Europe's key navigation programs: Galileo and EGNOS.

The Office is headquartered at the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) in Darmstadt, Germany.  Using our state-of-the-art Navigation Facility, our experts advance the theory and operations of precision navigation and timing.

What We Do

GNSS Data and Products

Every day, we publish precise orbit and clock products, earth rotation parameters, ionospheric maps, and more. Learn more...

ESA's GNSS Observation Network

We maintain a worldwide network of GNSS receivers from which our products are derived, independently and robustly. Learn more...

Navigation for institutional missions and programs

From the precise orbit determination of LEO satellites to the precision of interplanetary communication, we play a key role in ESA operations. Learn more...

Navigation for Science

We represent ESA to the worldwide geodetic community, working with our partners to push the limits of precise position and time. Learn more...
